John J. Immel (retired)

John Immel was a partner with Petefish, Immel, Hird, Johnson, Leibold & Sloan, LLP in Lawrence, KS, with a practice focusing on the legal needs of individual clients and small businesses.  He retired in August 2020 after practicing law for over 5 decades.

John’s legal career began in 1968 with his first employment being with the Kansas Department of Transportation’s legal department. In 1970, John became employed by the United States Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney, a position he held until joining Petefish in 1973.
